Shores Programmes Team

Programs team is here to help the unemployed into employment. We work in partnership with job centre plus, Intraining and working links to help individuals find the right training, advice and work experience to stay in sustained employment. We can assess what skills you have and see what support can be provided whether it’s a work trial, confidence building, letter writing, CV writing, job searching or a course of your choice we will work as hard as we can and assist you to get what you need.

Flexible New Deal: (FND)

From the start of your journey you will get your own personal consultant. They will show you how they have helped other people and how they can make a difference. They will look at your skills help you set goals and help you reach them. Help can be given to write a more effective CV, find jobs, work experience, fill in application forms and much more. (Referral from JCP only)

Employment Support Vocational Route way (ESVR)

This programme is for people who are ready and eager to work. We can offer support in all areas of looking for work from confidence building, application forms, CV and letter writing. (voluntary and referral from JCP)

Pathways to work:

This programme is specialised to individuals who are on health related benefits and want to get back to work. Our team can help you find a job to suit your needs and provide tailored support with the following. (voluntary and referral from JCP)

  • Using a computer
  • Accessing financial support
  • Understanding your illness or disability
  • Understanding what work you feel comfortable doing
  • Getting your life back on track
  • Getting over some of the fears of getting a job
  • Interview skills and using the telephone confidently
  • Helping a employer understand you as a individual
  • Numeracy and literacy skills
  • Support with training and retraining

Initial Steps towards employment:

If you have been unemployed for a prolonged period finding work can be a real challenge, our aim is to identify and break down any barriers to employment.

Our employment coaches provide a tailored service to you as an individual to help overcome your barriers, from job search and CV writing to confidence building and advice, we are here to help.

 
In addition to our employment coaches we have our own training and support network this includes:

  • Employer information and marketing
